How to Import PSD Files as Ready-to-Use Album Templates

Turn your existing PSD library into Snaply Album templates: automatic photo frame detection, preserved text, free-form shapes, and whole folders imported as template sets.

Many studios have hundreds of PSD templates. Instead of rebuilding them, import your PSDs as templates to use with Auto Design and in everyday design work.

Import a single file

  1. Choose PSD import and pick a file.
  2. Keep Auto-detect photo frames enabled (on by default) — image / shape layers acting as frames are converted into photo frames.
  3. Text keeps its font, color, stroke and shadow; free-form shapes (hearts, leaves, flowers) keep their exact outline and can be used as photo clipping frames.
  4. Save it as a template.

Import a whole folder as a set

Select an entire PSD folder to group it into one template set. The set is ready to use with Auto Design with template sets.

Notes

  • Fonts missing on your computer are flagged and can be replaced in bulk.
  • Fixed images in the PSD (backgrounds, decorations) can be right-clicked › Convert to fixed background.
